Daytime people were very helpful and friendly. When I finally got coffee pot the daily refill of supplies was very light. They did deliver more when asked.

Ordered from direct fresh which was delivered to my room and put in fridge while I was out, which was a nice touch. Great location for Memorial Sloan visit. Uber was best bet as side street with not many cabs. Plenty of restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. Clean and very good daily maid service. Good value for location. Would recommend but this is not a 5 star hotel. I would put it on par with an older Marriott Courtyard with no restaurant. Great for a long stay or with kids if you need more room than a typical New York sized hotel room and want to eat some meals in.

My husband was having surgery and I needed a place to stay that was easy walking distance to Memorial Sloan Kettering. Garden Suites was fairly close to all the big hospitals of the Upper East Side. The room was much bigger than the usual city hotel room,with a small but well-appointed kitchen, work table area, two beds, a sitting area and bath with dressing area.

The bathroom could use some sprucing up chipped and patched grout, older tub and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were in large pump bottles, not my preference for sanitary purposes, though I know this is "green". Beds were very comfortable and Nigel, on duty at the desk, was especially accommodating and helpful. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby for what you might need.

This hotel is very well located, the staff is welcoming and accommodating, the suites are spacious and the kitchenette is a savior, but the carpeting needs to be replaced in the common areas and in the rooms. My room had a large dark stain on the carpet. In addition, the bathtub and shower fixtures need to be updated so that work properly.
