Should i get p3p

But I know some people will disagree with me and recommend you just play P3P instead. Either way, P3 is a great place to start with in the series. User Info: FoxyAreku. I recommend P3P merely for being able to control your party members. It makes the gameplay a lot more enjoyable and gives you less BS game overs, but maybe that's just me. User Info: Folles. This question is kinda hard to answer.

Persona franchise is kinda split in two, you have the PS1 games Persona 1 and 2 Part 1 and 2 that are similar to SNES Megami Tensei games and dude i would recommend to play SNES SMTs over those, gameplaywise Atlus like to get core concepts from their mainline games and add twists to the spin offs, PS1 personas have the most underwhelming i wouldn't recommend those unless you are story driven. Then you have the 3, 4 and 5 that mix dungeon crawling, dating sim and the concept of getting extra turns by exploiting the enemy weakness and the same happening to you if you get caught from Nocturne.

Now for P3, i would recommend you to start on the PS2 version the FES is the best way to enjoy and understand the story. P3P cuts almost every single animated scene and while it teases you that they will do important scenes with 3D models it doesn't happen it's literally the first and the last battle the rest is all text, portraits and sound effects.

But there are reasons to play Portable, the gameplay was really improved with very few flaws the only notable is the option to multiple weapons being removed. The game almost feel like it's made for a replay because: -The cutscene skip actually work and really well.

And well if you played before the the lack of animated cutscenes will not be a problem as you already know what happens. Btw some other welcome changes from FES to P is that your friends don't fricking STEAL your stuff when searching on Tartarus and you can access the whole map with the Start this helps when you are trying to avoid the Reaper or are trying to come up to a plan to reach the exit without fighting.

User Info: shinjiro. Thanks for all the great suggestions so far guys. I'm a littleness torn in which to start with, since all of your ideas and suggestions brought up interesting aspects of each game: Are the SNES SMT games ported to another system?

I don't have an SNES anymore unfortunately. The P3P gameplay sounds better in battles due to controlling all of your party members, but FES sounds better outside of battle by exploring the school instead of just using a cursor.

P4 sounds extremely fun as well: "Trust me. What the hell? This game was rated M? It's like a kawaii E-rated game that's still fun! Teen, 15 years old Written by angelabovedemonbelow May 30, Amazing Game This is an amazing game with a deep plot.

It's better for mature teens who aren't disturbed by some frightening images although many of these scenes have been removed from this version. The characters are fairly well developed for a video game which is very nice for a change. There are some dark topics such as the end of the world, but they also talk about developing close friendships and doing things for those you care about.

Teen, 17 years old Written by Anarchy. A April 10, Im seventeen.. I started playing this gamme for the ps2 when it came out 2 or 3 three years ago and i loved it my dad even played it and loved it too. However, i have a 11 year old brother at the time and he play this and it gave him nightmares.. So what i am saying if you have an older son or daughter get them the psp version so they can play in privacy and it doesnt scared the younger ones nut if you child is under the age of 14 i dont reccommend them playing it Best game ever though.

This title contains: Positive role models. Teen, 14 years old Written by xxHolly February 13, The game has two main gameplay aspects: fighting your ways through monsters in a giant tower, and dating-sim-like social interactions. It switches between the two constantly, so neither gets particularly boring. The real treat in this game is the story, and how character interactions make you feel like you're a part of it.

The story is well written it could practically stand alone as an anime series , and I looked forward to advancing it as much as I look forward to watching my favorite TV shows. Additionally, there are roughly twenty "social links" in the game, which you level up from one to ten by getting to know and becoming friends with the person that the social link represents, which is done by picking choices for your character to respond with at various intervals.

Each of these characters has a specific personality and often a tragic past, and it's a delight to play through each social link. You can even choose a romantic interest from some of the characters.

The game's urban setting mixes well with its dark story into something that's entirely unique. The fighting is also fun, with each different character in your party and each of your own personae which are Most of the game is left up to your choice, as you only have to fight and advance social links when you want to.

I played a little bit of Persona 3 for my PSP. Im still in the very beginning though. No mutations for any Persona I got from cards but i dont really care. Im doing the bomb riddles thing right now. User Info: Dalkaen. Yeah, definitely. Pretty weird that you're playing them in reverse order, but P3P is still a great game.

You may be a little turned off by the point-and-click exploration interface, but the gameplay, characters, and music are still great. Actually, I think P3 has my favorite Persona soundtrack. I also like that it has different physical damage types instead of them all being lumped into one. User Info: elpapitochulo. I started with P3P. I liked it a lot. Like a previous poster noted, the point and click interface for navigation throughout the town is a bit annoying, but the game play and storyline are both very good.

I would definitely recommend it. I played both P1 and P2 both Sin and Punishment titles. I didn't get into them as much as P3 and subsequent titles. The story was decent and game play was alright but it didn't pull my interest like the latter titles. So should I just stop waiting and get P3P? Yes you should! I jut finished it today! A lot was changed for the better; Like the ability to play as other Party Members individually, The ability to "Defend" instead of "Wait", working part-time and 4 news Personas from P4.
